APPLYING FOR UPCOS ID
APPLYING FOR UPCOS IDs
To have free UPCOS IDs for their medical, pharmaceutical, chemical, biomedical and biotechnological products and have them “UPCOS-Registered” and “WAMS-Approved”, manufacturers must formally make their requests applying separately for their each product. There are six stages of the process whose progression usually takes THREE WORKING DAYS.
There are no fees or charges for UPCOS IDs.
Rejected Applications: Halted at any stage of the UPCOS ID Registration process, a rejected product may be re-submitted with a renewed application after a period of three months. If it gets rejected again, a third (final) submission may be made only after a year. A product rejected three consecutive times gets in the “UPCOS ID Hold List” indefinitely.

The Implementation of UPCOS
The UPCOS System will soon be globally implemented and used covering all nationally and internationally listed prescription and non-prescription medicines and drugs, pharmaceutical and health products and all other medical products, devices and instruments.
All the manufacturers and producers of will universally be provided with unique individually dedicated UPCOS IDs and WAMS Codes for their branded medicines and drugs, pharmaceutical and health products and all other medical products, devices and instruments.
They, upon the global implementation of the system, will be required to have their products listed and recorded at the UPCOS Registry with assigned official UPCOS IDs issued by UPCOS.
