Passed MBBS from Institute of Applied Health Sciences, under University of Chittagong in  the year 1998, he joined department of General Surgery, Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital (First private medical college in Dhaka, Bangladesh) 2002 as an Asst. Registrar & was promoted to Registrar 2004. Currently he is working as an Associate Professor since July’ 2016. He did his post graduation Fellowship from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in General Surgery and Membership from Royal College Of Surgeons of England in 2010. He has vast experience in General Surgery, worked in this field for the last twelve years.

He also worked as Registrar in the department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore for one year and observership in division of Colorectal Surgery, Department of General Surgery, National University Hospital, Singapore  He has particular interest in upper & lower GI endoscopy, minimally invasive and Colorectal surgery. In colorectal surgery, he in very much keen in hemorrhoidal surgery & colon cancer surgery.

After coming back from Singapore, he put emphasis on colorectal surgery particularly laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery like MIS: Right hemicolectomy, High Anterior Resection,Low Anterior Resection, APR; LONGO procedure, Complex fistula procedure.
